Ganga loved pranks. One day, when their mother was away, Ganga tricked Manju into eating ordinary flour, calling it "magic powder" that would make her fly. Manju ate it and tried to fly, but nothing happened. She started crying. Ganga realized her mischief had hurt her sister. She apologized sincerely and promised never to do such pranks again. Manju forgave her. From that day, Ganga behaved with love and responsibility.

ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಗಂಗಾ ಮಂಜುವಿನ ಬಳಿ ಹೋಗಿ, “ಮಂಜು, ನೀನೊಂದು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡು. ಅಕ್ಕನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈ ಮಾಯದ ಪುಡಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಗಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರಬಹುದು!” ಎಂದಳು.
