Unfortunately, the HD sharpness also exposes the dated CGI—especially Galactus, controversially reimagined as a giant space cloud rather than a cosmic giant. Jessica Alba’s Invisible Woman feels underserved, and the plot rushes through its most interesting ideas (the Surfer’s redemption, the military’s distrust of the team). Julian McMahon’s Doctor Doom is reduced to a campy, unnecessary villain.
