Gangor 2010 Trailer Access

Gangor (released internationally as Gangor: A Story that Defines Shame ) is an Indo-Italian art drama inspired by a short story from Mahasweta Devi ’s celebrated collection Breast Stories . The film stars Priyanka Bose (as Gangor) and Samir Mitra . The trailer was released prior to the film’s festival circuit run in 2010–2011. Trailer Breakdown (Approx. 2 minutes) The trailer opens with haunting, earthy visuals of rural India — barren land, a tribal woman nursing her child, and a passing photographer (the catalyst character from the story). It quickly escalates into stark contrasts: black-and-white stills, sudden bursts of color, and fragmented close-ups of the female body juxtaposed with symbols of state violence.

Jonathan Robert

Jonathan loves comic books and he loves coffee. Jonathan’s mother gave him his first taste of coffee at the tender age of 3 and it was love at first sip. He now needs to wheel around an IV drip of caffeine at all times or else he turns into a dark, monstrous creature that feeds on despair and makes babies cry. The local village-folk have kept him locked away ever since the “decaf catastrophe of ‘06.” When allowed out of his dungeon, he writes various articles for Geekade, including the monthly column, “Welcome to the D-List,” and records the "Mutant Musings" podcast with his geek-tastic girlfriend, Patti.
