Lupin’s pursuit brings him into conflict with a secretive Nazi remnant group known as the (led by the sinister Lambert ), who also seek the diary for their own nefarious plans involving a "superweapon" from World War II.
Along the way, Lupin teams up with a determined and brilliant young archaeologist named (the film's new heroine), whose father disappeared while researching the Bresson Diary. Together, they race across Paris, the Alps, and the ruins of an ancient civilization.
