You reset.
Most of you have only seen the fake ROMs. The ones that crash at the lab. The ones where Professor Oak just says "......" for ten minutes.
Then, outside Mt. Moon, you see it. A Trainer. Finally. He’s a Guitarist. But his sprite is stretched. Wrong. His eyes are just black ovals.
But here’s the "Normal" part. He doesn’t attack. He just… plays a chord. An actual recorded chord. A guitar. A D minor, played badly, strings buzzing.
You boot it up. The Game Boy Advance intro plays normally. Ding. The title screen is… fine. A generic Charizard silhouette. "Pokemon Consonancia" in bright yellow text. Press Start.
But the music. The music is where it gets you.
"He is still listening. Don't share the Normal link."
That was three days ago. It hasn’t stopped.
The save file corrupts. But not fully. It renames your character to (Spanish for "ear").
