Within a few hours, I stopped holding my stomach in. I stopped crossing my arms over my chest. I saw older couples with sagging skin laughing in the hot tub. A mom with a c-section scar playing catch with her kid. A man with one leg swimming laps.
Body positivity isn’t about convincing yourself you’re beautiful by society’s standards. It’s about realizing you don’t owe anyone beauty at all. You just owe yourself peace.
