With the release of Sonic Mania Plus (the expanded physical and digital re-release featuring Encore Mode, Mighty, and Ray), the game’s RSDK core became even more relevant — and more fascinating. What is RSDK? RSDK (Retro Software Development Kit) was originally created by Christian “Taxman” Whitehead as an engine to faithfully recreate and enhance classic 2D Sonic games.
