The survey results revealed that 1 in 5 participants reported experiencing some form of Elana abuse, with 70% of respondents indicating that they had witnessed or suspected Elana abuse in their social circles. The interviews with victims of Elana abuse highlighted the emotional and psychological toll of this form of exploitation, with many reporting feelings of shame, anxiety, and depression.
Future research should explore the intersections between Elana abuse and other forms of exploitation, such as human trafficking and financial exploitation. Additionally, investigating the role of technology in perpetuating and preventing Elana abuse could provide valuable insights into the development of effective prevention strategies.

This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods. A survey of 1,000 participants was conducted to gather quantitative data on the prevalence of Elana abuse and its consequences. Additionally, in-depth interviews with 20 victims of Elana abuse provided qualitative insights into their experiences.
